在水一方

汪远强的照片，亦如日记，散淡，无目的，无意义，无主题地仅仅是些词句片段，娓娓道来，如诗如诉，诵念他的还乡。他选择拍摄新安江，悠长两百多公里，沿岸恰恰仍保留着些许古风。大约从2014年开始，一条江的内心图像，作为先导而具体的工作，则是他漫不经心地观看。

“可望而不可即”，其已经成为了汪远强的符指，一种他惯用的悬念伎俩。往往选择一个远远观看的视角，以传达他的诠释，叙事手段的诠释；农人走过古老的桥去劳作；于山坡于水田，于大山深处，于家门口吃饭，于水边行走，一切祥和如春，一切恍若梦中。在此“在水一方”的词性得以重述，得以此组照片冠以“在水一方”之名；能指的魅力，能指所生发的语言的声音形象；水的能指和新安江特定的所指。产生了联系必然。诠释符号需要先熟悉一套被用来沟通意义的惯例。

Here the meaning of "Another side of the river" is restated and becomes the title of this series; The charm of the signifier of the water, the linguistic image created by the signifier of water and the specific signified of Xin'an River leads to the inevitable connection. Interpreting symbols requires familiarity with a set of conventions used to communicate meanings.
