可以画廊欣然宣布,可以·幕后计划首场展览——魏思雪个人项目「回环路」将于4月12日在与可以画廊相邻的第零号筒仓内开幕。此次展览我们将带来艺术家魏思雪2023-2024年间的数件新作 ,较为完整勾勒她从私密创作转向公共表达的蜕变轨迹。展览将持续至5月27日。

Keyi Gallery is pleased to announce that Keyi · Behind the Scenes Projec's First Exhibition —— Wei Sixue's personal project "Palindrome" will open on April 12th in the Zero Silo adjacent to Keyi Gallery. In this exhibition, we will bring several new works by artist Wei Sixue from 2023 to 2024, which provide a more complete outline of her transformation from private creation to public expression. The exhibition will continue until May 27th.

两年前的魏思雪排斥公开展示作品,她沉浸于⼀种浪漫主义笼罩下的⾃我私密创作中。此时的绘画是情绪的即刻宣泄,⽆需理会外界评价,考虑后续,也不用对它负责。而现在,她选择通过具象表现形式与日常践主动与公众建立连接。

Two years ago, Wei Sixue rejected public display of her works, and immersed herself in a kind of romanticism that enveloped her private creations.Painting at this time was an immediate release of emotions, with no need to care about external evaluations, to think about follow-up, or to be responsible for it. Now, she chooses to actively connect with the public through figurative expressions and daily practices.

展览标题「回环路」正隐喻着这创作进化——时间被解构成盘绕着的螺旋体,之间的每个褶皱都承载着客观的认知重构。正如其自述所揭示的 “时间迷宫”:“对我来说,时间的流动就如同螺旋状的迷宫,⾏⾛其中如⼀场⾃我审判,随着它曲折回环的路途感受、反省、重悟生命。”

The title of the exhibition “Palindrome” is a metaphor for this evolution of creation — Time is deconstructed into a spiral like structure, with each fold carrying an objective cognitive reconstruction. As his self description reveals, the "Time Labyrinth ": "For me, the flow of time is like a spiral maze, walking through it like a self judgment, feeling, reflecting, and rethinking life along its winding path."

魏思雪的创作聚焦于“日常的奇异”,她提炼生活场景中的断裂时刻:桌上随意泼溅的水渍、褶皱中冻结的时间、物象边缘的微妙畸变、褪色记忆的片段截取,这些被放大的隐微切片在她的笔下形成了独特的“绵延间隙”。

Wei Sixue's creations focus on the "Everyday strangeness". She extracts the breaking moments in life scenes: water stains splashed randomly on the table, frozen time in folds, subtle distortions at the edges of objects, and fragments of faded memories. These enlarged and subtle slices form a unique "Continuous gaps" in her writing.

她策略性的留白与刻意的创作刮痕,使作品一直处于“未完成”中。看似粗粝的肌理与细腻的感受性形成了足有冲击力的张力空间。从另一个角度观看,这又何尝不是艺术家精心设计的一场认知陷阱呢?当观众的视线陷入那些似乎触手可及的日常碎片时,思维的齿轮已悄然启动螺旋式思辨。

Her strategic use of blank spaces and deliberate creative scratches keep her work in an "unfinished" state. The seemingly rough texture and delicate sensitivity create a powerful tension space. From another perspective, isn't this also a cognitive trap carefully designed by the artist? When the audience's gaze falls into those seemingly tangible fragments of daily life, the gears of thought have quietly begun spiral thinking.

魏思雪出生于 1994 年,毕业于苏州大学广告系,现居苏州。通过长久地注视日常生活中的奇异,不断感知和反思自身来构建隐喻驱动创作。她试图将非现实性的特写和具象的日常组合起来,通达自身的瞬间本真,在创作的变化过程中感知生命的流动和连接。

她的个展包括:“消失点”,athaArtSpace,(长沙,2022);“空洞回响”,一弄画廊,(上海,2022)。
